Transition Tynedale

Transition Tynedale is a group of local people who have come together to further the aims and action of the international Transition Movement. Transition Towns, as they are generally known, develop positive action to counter two huge global problems: Peak Oil (energy will become scarcer and more expensive) and Climate Change.   Local initiatives such as the car share scheme and Edible Hexham are designed to build a more resilient and sustainable local community.

We have a general meeting, open to everyone, on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at Scott’s cafe at the Forum Cinema, Hexham. Come along and see what you can do.
