A highly predictable source of power is right here on our doorstep – the River Tyne. Hexham River Hydro is keen to work with everyone locally and in the region to make the most of this natural resource.
How does it work?
The good news is that there are some innovative devices that can trap some of the energy in the river, balancing this alongside the needs of wildlife and valued leisure activities.
The energy that is captured is fed into the national grid and earns an income, and the water is then returned to the
